Ashley and Jeff Labar – August 1, 2015 – Terraview
Terraview Pocono Wedding Venue
Jeff put a love note and his number on my wind shield of my Jeep asking me to call him. I called him a week later.
The little things that made us fall in love were . . .
- Our love of sports. he played baseball and football and I played basketball both for Bangor High School.
- We both love to go hunting
- We share the same taste in music
- We both love fishing, hiking, our annual trips to the river, camping, attending professional football and basketball games.
The Proposal . . .
I came home from work one Friday, the weekend ahead of us was labor day weekend. We sat on the couch Friday night together discussing our weekend plans. He asked me if he wanted to go hiking on Sunday up to the Water Gap. I said of course, that sounds like a nice Sunday morning. We hiked for almost 6 miles to the top of the Water Gap. There was a huge rock at the top and the biggest view of the Gap you could only imagine if you were up there. Jeff gets down on one knee and tells me the real reason why we are here is he wanted to know if I wanted to be his wife and he had the box open with the ring inside. I started to tear up and I said YES!
Why you chose Stroudsmoor . . .
We chose Stroudsmoor because since I was a little girl growing up with the Stroudsmoor Family I always wanted to get married there and this was my dream. I knew Stroudsmoor could fulfill my dream wedding. Stroudsmoor has the most beautiful scenery that any venue could offer. They treat their guests like they are royalty and family since day one. If I could get married every year I would chose Stroudsmoor again in a heartbeat.
Our message about our wedding day is . . .
Always remember the little things, love is the strongest passion you could ask for, never take your other half for granted. Remember to be a friend, a wife, and a good person. If you work together your love will last forever.
