Erik and I met when we were Freshmen attending Penn State. We were friends for a few years and always loved being around each other. Finally, Senior year we started dating and we have been together ever since! When I first met Erik, I thought he was hilarious and had such a goofy sense of humor. That hasn’t changed a bit and really was what made me fall in love with him! He has the ability to stop an argument with a joke or a smirk that will never cease to make me laugh. Erik proposed on a visit to Chicago for a friend’s wedding! The day after our friend’s wedding, we explored the city and went to the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Erik proposed in a beautiful rose garden and I didn’t hesitate for a second! We choose Stroudsmoor because at first glance the venue (Lawnhaven) was everything we were looking for. A classic, elegant, natural, rustic vibe. Later we truly discovered how perfect our choice was, as EVERY single person at Stroudsmoor went above and beyond helping us with our planning. I will never forget how perfect Stroudsmoor made our wedding day. All of the little details that brides stress about, Stroudsmoor was 10 steps ahead of me and had everything flawlessly planned out. I felt like a Queen on my wedding day and I know I wouldn’t have had this experience with any other venue. People kept telling me that things will most likely go wrong on my wedding day and not to worry, but I can honestly say that everything was perfect! Thank you Stroudsmoor!!
