Terraview Details

Natalie and Kevin dated as college students and were engaged in 2010. They married August 20, 2011 at St. Ann’s Basilica in Scranton. The long aisle was draped with baby’s breath and white rose petals prepared by the Stroudsmoor Floral and Décor Team. The bride, who inherited a love of fashion from her Nana, wore a dress from New York’s famous Kleinfeld Bridal designed by Monique Lhuillier. And, a grand reception for 250 guests followed in Terraview at Stroudsmoor Country Inn.

Natalie had always dreamed of a glamorous and lavish wedding, complete with rose petals and candlelight. Kevin envisioned a wedding filled with fanciful fun! The two themes collided in their wedding “Kearnival!”

Trumpeters and flame-throwing jugglers greeted everyone as they arrive to Terraview. Inside the candlelit, rose-petal adorned cocktail lounge, guest enjoyed signature “Pink Passion Flirtinis” and a live saxophone serenade. Outside, the lush flower gardens were filled with white balloons and “Kearnival” activities. A Mingle Magician and Caricature Artist entertained guests as they enjoyed Lemons on Ice with giant straws. A Hurdy Gurdy Organ Grinder with miniature monkey named Sophie greeted guests in her finest wedding attire. Roasted nuts and fresh popcorn were labeled with the couple’s engagement picture and sayings, “NUTS for Each Other,” and “He POPPED the Question, and She said Yes!” respectively.

Edible escort-cards cookies guided guests to tables. Exquisite arrangements of hydrangeas and white roses completed the interior décor. Stroudsmoor Inn Towne Bakery provided the custom designed five-tier, peaches-and-cream cake embellished with Swarovski Crystals, which was cut while Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” played. Dessert continued with Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte and a Cannoli bar with a 2’ Cannoli Grande, miniature chocolate-covered and classic Cannoli and a variety of home-made Italian cookies. A 1920’s-era Cigar Girl served hand-rolled cigars made of Cuban-seed Tabacco. And, as a final farewell snack, guests received boxed chocolates and “Natalie & Kevin’s Elixir of Love” which was white, chocolate and strawberry milk in vintage mini milk bottles.

Natalie is a physician assistant and the owner and buyer of Runway Luxury Footwear. Kevin owns Kearney Funeral Homes, Inc. They honeymooned in Spain and reside in Old Forge.

Natalie writes to Stroudsmoor . . .
“You turned my childhood dreams of a magical wedding into a true life fairytale. I along with Kevin and my parents could not be happier. The entire evening was absolutely wonderful. This is not only a day I will cherish forever, but also an evening my guests will be raving about for years. My phone, email and Facebook is flooded with comments and rave reviews. All of your hard work paid off and I thank you . . . Kevin and I found the perfect place. P.S. I can’t wait to start planning my sister’s wedding with you!”
