BOHO is Big, Bold and Beautiful . . .

BOHO-chic was a featured theme at the November 2018 Wedding Sampling Event. Designer Sarah Rose created a wedding ensemble including sweetheart arch and table, place-setting, guest table centerpiece and big, bold and Bohemian wedding bouquet. What is your wedding theme? Send your vision to info@stroudsmoor.com and we will send you ideas . . .

Not familiar with the term BOHO? The strict definition is socially unconventional in a way regarded as characteristic of a creative artist. BOHO-chic is a style and feeling predicated on a Bohemian bravura blending many different styles into one unique look – slightly rustic, partly contemporary and lots of sensuous glam elements combined with bold colors, ornate textures and fascinating fabric combinations produce the BOHO-theme. Designer Sarah Rose, presented her version of BOHO-chic at the Stroudsmoor Wedding Sampling Event this November. Her designs featured a swanky sweetheart table wrapped in fringed macramé, centerpieces in vintage tin cans, and a bouquet powerful in size, flower recipe and color. Let’s take a look at what made up these avant-garde designs . . .

Photo Number 1: The Sweetheart Arch – massive moss-covered columns support an arch of 50-year old grapevine filled with touches of red winter berry and younger vine. Hanging from the arch in jute macramé hammocks are red clay pots with a variate of flowers – burgundy peony, pink garden roses, purple delphinium, foxtails, bear grass and more complete the arch that acts as a backdrop to the table for two.
Photo Number 2: The Sweetheart Table – an unconventional half-moon shaped table draped in florescent gold linen, which appears purple in changing light, is well-dressed with a fringed macramé skirt and finished on either side with an asymmetrical bouquet and vintage pitcher floral arrangement creating the perfect frame for the couple seated at the table.
Photo Number 3: Tabletop Setting – features a galvanized tin and maroon enamel charger complemented by double-fold jewel tone napkins tied with twine and a deep purple chrysanthemum.
Photo Number 4: Tin Can Centerpiece – rust and hardware adds to the ambiance of this sustainable design – Sarah Rose is dedicated to eliminating the use of floral foam from all of her creations in an effort to minimize the damage to our environment. A combination of lush greens creates the framework for stems of pink stock, garden roses, lace flower, and pepper berry coming together to create a gardenesque motif – the perfect complement to the garden-style of the sweetheart arch.
Photo Number 5: The Bouquet – an asymmetrical pageant style design constructed of peony, stock, alstroemeria, waxflower several types of roses, and a variety of greens. Sarah Rose says, “Go Big, Bold, and BOHO for a free spirit, nonconformist, Bohemian look”.

The Stroudsmoor Floral Team can and will take any direction to create the couple’s vision for their wedding. If BOHO is not your style . . . up next is rustic-elegance at Woodsgate.
